The Gallatin Writers' Guild began with a free writing course at the Daviess County Library. When the twelve-week course ended, a handful of writers continued to meet at their wonderfully supportive library. Members have come and gone, but five of the originals remain.
In December 2017 the group was featured in the North Missourian in an article titled "Gallatin Writers' Guild...Have They Got a Story for You." Guild members meet twice a month on Tuesdays at 4:00, crowding the round table at the library to commiserate with, encourage, and critique each other.
Since starting this literary journey together, three members have published books and two more have books in progress. Members' published books are available in paperback and ebook format and can be purchased at Moon Mullins Family Pool Hall in Gallatin, Missouri and on Amazon, as well as other locations. For purchase of specific books, please see the book page.
